For those folks who are looking for a vacation destination that is a bit off the beaten path, the isle of Fiji presents the perfect tropical solution. Located due east of Australia and just to the north of New Zealand, Fiji is actually a collection of over 100 islands that, together, form the Republic of the Fiji Islands. While many of these small islands are inhabited, the overwhelming majority of them only contain a handful of people, with two islands, Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, making up over 85 percent of the total population. While Fiji is one of the top tourist destinations as far as tropical islands go, the majority of visitors here come to the islands via cruise ships. That’s not to say that there are no direct flights to and from the major islands, but if you decide to visit on your own, you will have to come up with an itinerary all your own, instead of having a cruise captain plan out your days. Hotels on Fiji stick mostly to all-inclusive beach side resorts that can go from expensive to astronomical. As with most places, there are smaller, independently owned hotels, but they are often away from the main tourist areas and can be of questionable safety. Unless you have a guide, it is a good idea to stick to the beaten path on your vacation to the Fiji Islands. Dining in Fiji is an experience you won’t soon forget. As you can imagine, seafood is the main focus of most restaurants here, but you will find a wide spectrum of dining here, especially in the tourist areas. Most four star caliber restaurants are found within the tourist resorts, but that doesn’t mean you won’t get a memorable meal outside of that general area. Depending on which island you stay on and which side of the island you stay on, ask your concierge for any locally owned dining establishments that are friendly to tourists. They will know better than anyone which places are safe and which places you should avoid. The majority of nightlife on Fiji tends to be arranged by the many resorts here or by the cruise lines. There are many small, neighborhood bars and even a handful of dance clubs on Fiji, but most tourists don’t have the gumption to seek them out. Again, it is always a good idea to check with your hotel concierge about which parts of the island are safe for tourists after dark. Fiji is a safe and wonderful vacation destination, but it is never a good idea to put yourself in a vulnerable situation. Finally, the majority of people who visit Fiji do so for the spectacular island views, the amazing year-round weather and some of the most amazing beaches in the world. There is top class hiking and biking here, too, so if you want to work off a few pounds from those lavish dinners, you’ll be able to. So, what are you waiting for? Pack your bathing suit and sunglasses and hit the beach in beautiful Fiji. Locations Available For Franchise:-
